Lead Financial Adviser – Marketing & Advice
Chris has been a leading advocate, activist and campaigner around insurance issues for over two decades, during which he has spent considerable time as a consultant to the Association of British Insurers (ABI) around HIV issues. He led a 10 year campaign to secure Life Assurance for people living with HIV and in 2009 was successful in persuading the UK Insurance Industry to introduce HIV Life Assurance. In 2017 He re-joined the ABI HIV and Insurance Working group and agreed to write a consumer guide to run alongside the latest version of the Industries HIV and Insurance Guiding Principles.
Chris is currently campaigning for Life Insurance, Income Protection & Critical Illness Cover to be more accessible to people living with HIV. He is a former Financial Adviser of the Year, Barclays Young Business Person of the Year and finalist in the FT Adviser Mortgage Adviser of the Year contest. He was recently shortlisted at The European Diversity Awards for Barclays Campaigner of Year. This is for his work campaigning for the rights of LGBT+ and HIV Positive people within the UK Financial Services Industry. He is the UK’s leading writer and financial commentator on HIV Insurance and Finance Issues and regularly appears at seminars and workshops on these issues.

Gerald Morgan, (FPC, CEMAP)
Practice Principal – Financials & Compliance
Gerald is a fully qualified financial adviser and has been looking after the Mortgage and Insurance needs of clients for over thirty years. During this time he has advised countless clients with ‘pre-existing medical conditions’, helping them to secure Life Assurance and Mortgage products with the best premiums and terms.
He has management responsibility for the Financials & Compliance within Unusual Risks.
Nicholas Andrews
Office Manager – Processing & Administration
Nicholas joined Unusual Risks after completing 30 years at the Commonwealth War Graves Commission where he was their Commemoration Policy Manager, overseeing the organisation of Military funerals and rededication ceremonies for war casualties.
Previously he was their Records and Enquiries Manager, playing a key role in the achievement of the widely acclaimed Fromelles project, where the Commission constructed their first new Commonwealth war cemetery after a break of over 50 years.
